Jo Lily injured, THE MYSTIX performances cancelled
We are sorry to report that Jo Lily of THE MYSTIX suffered an injury to his left hand this past weekend, resulting in nerve damage that is expected to put him out of action for the immediately foreseeable future. So unfortunately, THE MYSTIX have had to cancel all performances through the end of the 2009. Jo has begun receiving treatment for his injury and we’re all hoping for a complete recovery, but the band does not expect to be playing again until late 2010 at the earliest. Thanks for your kind wishes and support, and we’ll keep you posted!

The Mystix - Band Not River at Johnny D's

Singer-guitarist Jo Lily likes to look at the band he fronts, The Mystix, as containing "some of the top guns that are out there." Like guitarist Bobby Keyes, drummer Marty Richards, bassist Marty Ballou and keyboardist Tom The MystixWest. (Lily used to be known as Sam Deluxe, when he sang for Duke and the Drivers.) Lily says the Mystix, which plays Johnny D's,Saturday April 11 took the name because "we like the idea of magic in the music, that's the only reason we're still playing. .

The Mystix back at Tupelo!
The Mystix are very excited about coming back, for a second time, to Tupelo Music Hall. This extraordinary venue boasts an amazing sound system and draws nationally-recognized bands such as George Winston and Little Feat.
The Tupelo Challenge
It's not just the Mystix who think this show should not be missed. Tupelo Music Hall Owner, Scott Hayward, thinks this show will be so good, he issued this challenge:
"Next week we have a great band from Boston named The Mystix. We had them a few months ago and, having never seen them play, I didn’t do a very good job recruiting folks to come out. This is a MUST SEE show! The band is incredible. They play everything from R&B rock. The musicians in The Mystix are some of the best in Boston.
If you don’t like the show we will refund your money on the way out. That’s our challenge to you."

Great Show at TCAN!
What a great show the Band had at TCAN this past weekend! The
facility itself is really cool and the sound was very professional not to
mention how nice everyone who works/volunteers for TCAN was. We had about 90
loyal fans and many new friends. The best part was when a fan Carlos, from
Spain, showed up and had us sign CD's for loyal Mystix followers in Spain
including his Dad, Louis. It's always a thrill to meet our European
followers at a show here in the U.S. We keep refining the show and look
forward to working Tupelo Hall (also one of our favorite venues) Friday,
October 17. Best Regards to All! Jo Lilly & The Mystix
