The Mystix: Live
Rhythm and Roots
The Mystix / Rhythm And Roots
“Rhythm And Roots” is the fifth album of the six man band The Mystix, and it is played frequently on radio stations in Europe and the USA. Mystix is a lively live band with a broad repertory in the Americana Roots genre. There is a lot of verve on this album, not the least thanks to the violin and the power that the band exhibits on this live album. The singer has some similarities with Roffe Wikström, in terms of both pitch and vibrato. I am not particularly fond of Bob Dylan covers, he is good enough on his own, but “To Ramona” is an excellent exception. Some other good songs on this fully packed album are “A Lifetime Worth Of The Blues” and “Boppin’ The Blues”.
